What You Can Do
Trees are essential to life as we know it, because they absorb pollutants and produce the life sustaining oxygen we need to survive. The Arbor Day Foundation is a fabulous source of information of what trees to plant where with videos of how to plant trees and much more. http://www.arborday.org/trees/video/howToPlant.cfm Help your community plant trees, native grasses and shrubs for beautification and to prevent erosion.
"Character is like a tree and reputation like a shadow.
The shadow is what we think of it; the tree is the real thing."
- Abraham Lincoln

Trees provide a home for our wildlife, as well as cover from hunters. We rely on them for shade and windbreak for our homes, as they increase the property value of your home. Trees fight soil erosion, conserve rainwater, and reduce water runoff and sediment deposit after storms. Rainforests once covered 14% of the earth's land surface; now a mere 6%. Plant a tree in memory of a special event.

Make room for our feathered friends. Build a birdhouse. It doesn't have to be fancy, The bird doesn't care what color it is. They just want a sanctuary from the weather and their predators...a place they can nest in and call home.
