What You Can Do
Nontoxic cleaners are easily accessible in major supermarkets and health food stores. They’re much healthier to use for your lungs due to lack of fumes and much more eco-friendly than many cleaners made from petroleum productsl. You can find dishsoap, laundry detergents, all purpose-cleaners that are vegetable based at affordable prices most everywhere. This is a conscious choice you can make for everyone in your home--even your pets.

Clean Green
You Can Make A Difference

Good old fashioned vinegar and oil have many uses. They're not just for salads anymore. Vinegar is a natural antibacterial and can be used to kill mold, as a multipurpose cleaner mixed with water, as a laundry softener full strength and an odor neutralizer. The vinegar smell dissipates quickly. You can even use apple cider vinegar to rinse your hair clean of the build up from hair care products. Use olive oil to clean your stainless steel appliances. Baking soda is another natural product that will clean up counter and floor scuff marks with a plastic scouring pad. Put it in your refrigerator or anywhere as an odor neutralizer. I use it as a whitener in my laundry. With these inexpensive products, who needs expensive air fresheners and cleaners?

Think of the money you would save by hanging your laundry on the clothesline, the good old-fashioned way--air dry. You save natural resources like gas and electricity, while you enjoy your exercise and sunshine, like I do. Another one of nature's joys, as you listen to the birds sing and your clothes smell fresh as the clear blue sky in many places. Use dried lemon peel, as a natural deterrent to moths.
